Introduction

On July 3,1994, the 16th recoverable satellite was launched from Chinese Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center (JSLC). It carried 2846 covers issued by four units. After 15 days travel in space, all these covers were safely recovered on July 18 at Suining, Sichuan province. The cabin was unsealed on the same day at Dazu airport in Sichuan province.

All of these 2846 covers had been notarized by the Beijing Notary Office on May 20, 1994 at JLSC, with special postmarks from the launch center on the same day. The postmark is 30mm in diameter bearing characters meaning JSLC in the upper semicircle, and Lanzhou 27th Post Office in the lower semicircle, and the date of 1994, 5, 20, 10.

One certificate is showed as on the left.
